Meet the Principal

Heather Schumacher started in her role as Principal at Hough for the 2024-25 school year. 

She previously served as the Principal of Barbara B. Rose Elementary from 2018-2024. Before joining Barrington 220, Principal Schumacher worked as Principal at Elm Place School in North Shore School District 112. Prior to her time in District 112, she worked in Barrington 220 for 10 years as a summer school principal, as well as a language arts, math and social studies teacher at Station Campus. 

She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Benedictine University. She also has a master’s degree in Gifted Education from Northeastern University, as well as a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
